Hybrid App is one that combines elements of both native and Web applications. Means a web browser will display inside the app.
When an App is Hybrid it means it has 2 part as Native and WebView. The Native part testing same as Native App. But to do any activities or test in WebView part we need to switch our driver to Web part using getContextHandles() method, then get the name of the WebView, pass the name as argument in context method (Now you switched to Web part ), do the activities/testing you want and switch back to Native part at the end.
