A day trip to DURHAM - is it worth it? | Durham castle & cathedral
Have you ever been to Durham? This is a small city located close to Newcastle but also easily accessible from places like York or even Edinburgh. It feels like it shouldn't quite be called a full blown CITY as it is quite... dinky, however where it makes up for it's diminutive sizing is its historical attractions.
Durham cathedral is an absolute stunner, plus a prettttty well known movie location, and Durham castle is a uniquely lived-in by local students, giving off a bit of a Holdovers vibe.
