Octatrack EYESY Deluge Syntakt Powerhouse Multimedia Performance |
This combo is a lot of fun! Everything is quite manual... in future will help the EYESY along by using Octatrack LFOs to automate some visual changes.
My first real jam with Octatrack for you! This is all original SCENES and I really like its Scratch DJ "emulation" by scrubbing the sample direction and speed with the crossfader... I know this is not how a real DJ does scratching but its a really cool way to use Octatrack.
Syntakt was mostly used for its analog kick drum and VCO bass line but a couple digital parts were the Physical Modeling.
Deluge is back as the melodic kingpin controlling all melodics while Octatrack was all beats and rhythmics. Then everything was mixed into the Octatrack for fx and processing sent to Tascam 24 for simple recording with a tiny bit of compression.
Eyesy fed in the audio from the Octatrack and was all controlled live while I was playing everything else.
