This SCP Foundation reading covers SCP-1008 "Exile Stone". A piece of Obsidian, when placed to the forehead of a human subject, makes subject unable to perceive the sun, feel the warmth of heat, and see plants and animals as withered or emaciated, eventually able to receive nutrients from meat and plants before expiring!
