How To Add Music To TikTok Video

Once you have video and images selected that you would like to use for your TikTok video, trim it as you like and click "Next".

You will then be brought to the main editing screen. From here you will see various tabs at the bottom to add different effects and details to customize your TikTok.

The first option is "Sounds". This is the tab you'll use to add music and sounds to your video.

Once selected, you will first be provided with a list of recommended sounds and music from the TikTok library.

If you want to see more or search for specific music, you can click the "More" button with the Search icon to access TikTok's full music library.

TikTok has created different playlists so that you can find music sorted by themes like Travel and Greatest Hits. They also sort it by Genre if you continue to scroll.

If you find a song or sound that you like, and are likely to use it often, you can "Favourite" it by clicking the bookmark on the right side of the song. This adds the song to your Favourites, which you can then find under the "Favourites" tab.

If you have a specific song, artist, or sound in mind, you can use the Search bar at the top to find it.

To preview a song, click it and a preview will play.

To select a song to use, press the checkmark on the right side.

If you want to alter how and where the song plays throughout your video, click the "Edit" button which is the music symbol with scissors.

You can then drag the music to adjust what part of the song plays throughout the video.

Once you have it set to your liking, click the checkmark in the bottom right corner.

By selecting the "Volume" tab at the bottom of your screen, you can also adjust the volume of your video's original sound, or of your added sound/music by moving the sliders.
