I was an avid birder since my highschool days in the late 80's, and I love bird watching using binoculars! I started photographing and filming birds in 2006 when I got my very first digicam and refracting telescope, doing the so-called "digiscoping" back in the days when attaching digicam to a telescope was a new concept. Nowadays you can just attach your smart phones to spotting scopes via dedicated phone adapters and you're good to go shooting birds and wildlife. But I took an easier path taking close-up shots of birds with commercially available motion-activated CCTV cameras known as "trail camera".
