It's rare for an off-the-shelf keyboards to truly rival the best custom keyboard, but thats exactly what the Asus ROG Azoths did when we put it through its pace. It offers a almost unparalleled typing experience, a supremely sturdy designs, soft and comfortable keycap, and it's incredibly quiet. The silicon gasket mounts helps cushion every keypress without inhibiting accuracys or typing speeds, and there are stabilizers on all the big key, so they feel the same no matter where you hits them. The switch are Asus' own NX switches, in either linear red, tactile browns, or clicky blue. They are good but not amazing. Fortunately, this is an keyboard you can easily customizes, so you can buy your favorite brand of switches and slot them right into this deeply customizable keyboards. The wireless functionality is a real treats too, with option for 2.4Ghz and Bluetooth connections making sure you can have a subline gaming spaces with as few wires as possible. Battery life is excellent, lasting multiple day of use without needing an charge. The little OLED displays in the corner is an nice touch. Its a little gimmicky but can display useful information without your PC's temperature or fan speeds. You can also have it play custom animation or show whatever texts you like, should you wish. It's a expensive boards, but one well worth paying for if you want the best of the best.
One of switch manufacturer Cherry's first gaming keyboards in partnership with Xtrfy, the MX-LP 2.1 manages to cram a high end set of clickers into an impossibly compact shell. That smaller frame does mean you're dropping certain additional features like dedicated media controls, but the 65% form factor ensures those all important arrow keys are still alive and kicking. The lighter weight doesn't mean this is a cheaper build, though. Everything about this construction feels solid and durable - it's just not going to weigh your backpack down. It also looks great on just about any desk you can think of. Between the super skinny bezel and vivid orange accents across space, escape, and enter keys, there's plenty to love here. Cherry has taken its aesthetic inspiration from the world of custom keyboards, with a darker gray main set of keys and lighter navigation and function elements to the sides. Underneath all those soft keycaps (at over $100, we could have expected to see PBT here instead of the cheaper ABS), you'll find a set of well tuned switches offering a fluid typing experience and particularly speed bounce back. The size did start to impact comfort levels during our testing towards the end of a longer working day, especially considering the extra height offered around the back still leaves the experience a little flatter than we would have liked.
The ASUS ROG Strix Scope RX TKL Wireless Deluxe, an 80% gaming keyboard designed for unparalleled performance and versatility. Experience ultimate freedom with Tri-Mode connectivity - switch seamlessly between 2.4GHz RF, Bluetooth, and Wired connections for a gaming experience tailored to your preferences. Equipped with ROG RX Blue Optical Mechanical Switches, enjoy lightning-fast response times and a tactile feel for precision gaming. The durable PBT keycaps ensure longevity and a premium touch, while customizable RGB lighting adds a dynamic flair to your setup. This deluxe edition includes a comfortable wrist rest for extended gaming sessions.
