Pandit Sanjay Rath is a great Jyotish guru who comes from a traditional family of astrologers from Bira Balabhadrapur Sasan village of Puri, Orissa, who trace their lineage back to Shri Achyutananda Das. The teachings of Shri Achyutananda Das have been passed down to us through the Rath family. Sanjay Rath, the present keeper of this lineage, studied under the guidance of his uncle Pundit Kasinath Rath and his grandfather Pandit Jaganath Rath. To promote the teachings of his parampara in 1998 he founded Devaguru Brhaspati Centre and Sri Jagannath Center. Students all over the world learn not only about Jyotish but also about mantra shastra, mudra, pranayama, meditation and Sanatana Dharma. Also he has authored several books.
