Grocery stores in the UK are limiting sales of some fruits and vegetables due to supply shortages. Tomatoes, peppers and other items are being rationed 2-3 units per person to ensure all customers get everything they need. Since the Ukraine-Russian conflict began last year, soaring energy prices have forced farmers across Europe to stop growing fruits and vegetables in heated greenhouses.
