On November 9th, 2002, former world title challenger Victoriano "El Santico" Sosa and Lamar "Cochise" Murphy went toe-to-toe, with the winner eventually being rewarded with a chance to take on Floyd Mayweather!
In Sosa's single world title challenge, he was on the wrong end of a unanimous decision against Paul Spadafora, even though he scored two knockdowns in the third. Funny enough, this fight with Murphy would actually take place on the Spadafora vs. Dennis Holbaek Pederson undercard.
Could Sosa make his way back to world title matches? Or would Murphy provide too much of a challenge?
