How to Layer drums: Transient Cutting, Fundamental EQ
Hey everyone, here's a short video pulled from my masterclass on Layering Drums. I get asked this all the time and here's a demonstration of how to do it. This is just one example with audio. Many ways to do this. 3 main points
1 - Try to use only one transient at a time
2 - Try to use only one fundamental frequency on kicks and snares
3 - Use a hi-pass EQ to cut any low frequencies on layers of kicks and snares
